THE FULL MONTY, ReVision Theatre:

Carlo Durland, The Coaster: "Dave, played by the lovable Adam Kern, is much more than the traditional "chubby best friend" role. He is a person in crisis with his life...Kern's performance shows a fully developed charcter who the audience grows to love more and more throughout the course of the evening. His duet, "You Rule My World" with Mark Gerrard's Harold is a highlight."

Philip Dorian, Two River Times: "Kern is especially effective as the overweight Dave, whose awkwardness with his devoted wife is achingly human. "You Rule My World" is excellent."

Tom Chesek, Asbury Park Press: "Scott Guthrie and Adam Kern do a fine job anchoring the cast."

CATS, Barn Theatre. Review by William R. Wood, Kalamazoo Gazette "Many voices in the production soar. Adam Kern as Deuteronomy captivated the audience."

Guys and Dolls, Barn Theatre. Review by Marcia Fulmer, Kalamazoo Gazette "...Adam Kern as Big Jule from Chicago, deliver's just the right amount of Runyonesque attitude."

Man of La Mancha (MOLM), JCC Halle Theatre: Winner of 5 "Times Tribute Awards for Outstanding Theatre 2002:"

MOLM: Roy Berko, Times: "(MOLM) gets a dream production at the Halle.....Amazing.

Reviews of company work in ensemble pieces:

Caligula, CTH. Review by Una Chaudhuri, Village Voice. "This is "extreme performance," De Shields' is cheerfully supported by a chorus of Vegas-style Roman gladiators and showgirls.

Caligula, CTH. Review by Emily Long, Village Voice. "The appointment of Caligula's horse to the senate is an occasion for broad humor. The production is a guilty pleasure!"

Caligula, CTH. Review by Emily Otto, Village Voice. "By re-framing history with a whip and a smile, this production slyly illuminates the present."

Audience Response towards Liz Swados' Missionaries at the Willoughby Fine Arts Association "I do not have words for it. Stunning is as close as I can get...the performance and the spirituality-oh, my!"    "I am virtually speechless. My sister and I were both moved beyond belief."   "Words hardly convey the emotion felt in that auditorium. There should have been a standing ovation, but I think the audience was like me, riveted to my chair at the end."   "All the people were standing around in the lobby after the performance and were still talking. Then walking out to my car, there were more people standing around at their cars talking {about the production}. You don't often see that at a performance, and there aren't many live theatre performances that bring me to tears - but Missionaries did."
